Has wide experience in social research and consultancy in areas affecting the youth in wider communities in Kenya and the United Kingdom.

She has worked with Beresford Blake Thomas (UK) as a consultant. In Kenya, Olembo has worked as a researcher with Family Care and Education Services (FACES),

a programme funded by the Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), that offers palliative care to families affected and living with HIV Aids.

Her area of research was women and children. She also worked with Centre for the Study of Adolescence as a Programme Coordinator, mobilizing out-of-school youth in advocating for enhanced access to comprehensive sexual and reproductive health information and services for young people at policy and community level. She was also a Consultant Trainer with Kenya Business Development Services /Cardno Emerging Markets with Value Girls Project aimed at improving the social economic welfare of girls and young women between the ages of 14-24 in Bondo and Rarieda Districts, Kenya. She was a co-facilitator on assignments with AMREF on Gender Integration and Community Resource Mobilisation in Loitoktok and Magadi, as well as a Monitoring and Evaluation and Project Sustainability on Nomadic Youth in the same areas. She is currently delivers weekly motivational talks to students at selected high schools in Nairobi county and Western Kenya.

Ruth Olembo holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree from the University of Nairobi, a post-graduate certificate in Public Health from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom, and a diploma in Social Work from the University of Nairobi.

Grace has over ten years work experience in management, human resources and staff training with non-governmental organizations in Kenya.  Skilled in mentoring, coaching and counseling, Grace holds a Diploma in Counselling and is pursuing a long distance Degree course in Counselling Psychology at Rusland College, UK.

Godwin Siundu
Godwin Siundu
Director, Research and Communication

Siundu has worked with the youth in South Africa (2002 – 2004) and Kenya (2005 – date) in the areas of creative writing and pedagogy.

He has also worked as a consultant in the cultural and social science research, gaining cumulative experience on the youth in diverse cultural and political contexts.

In 2014 – 15, Siundu was a member of a team that was supported by IGAD to undertake research on Youth Radicalization and Violent Extremism in the IGAD region.

He has also worked variously as a Consultant with PERC-Pace International as a researcher, and with APHRC as a Rapporteur. Between 2002 and 2004, he worked with the Wits Writing Centre as a Senior Writing Consultant, during which time he worked with undergraduate university students on issues of self expression, creative and academic writing. Siundu holds a PhD in African Literature from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, a Master of Philosophy degree in Literature from Moi University and a Bachelor of Education degree from the same institution.
